On Friday, September 12, 2014 Terra L. Fletcher of Fletcher Consulting and Chad VanCalster of Sonix Studio teamed up to present a “Fun Intro to Social Media” for the Oneida Nation at Thornberry Creek near Green Bay, WI. Apache Danforth began the day with social media statistics and reminders of why social media is so important in our communication. Fletcher overviewed some of the most popular social media sites, talked about how to manage social media beyond 9-5, encouraged users not to neglect their websites, and closed with motivational and encouraging words to lead others to use social media well. Anne Thundercloud and Terry Hetzel were also presenters at the event. The day ended with a panel of experts including Terra, Anne, and Chad who answered questions about how employees of the Oneida Tribe of Indians on Wisconsin can best use social media to communicate their departments messages.
